PsySpaces: Brand Identity and Logo Design for Flexible Therapy Offices

PsySpaces is a new venture offering flexible office rentals for therapists and wellness practitioners. It was created as a sister brand to WG Psychology, a well-established therapy practice. 

The Brief: Goals and Challenges

Our goal was to build a polished brand that communicates clarity, professionalism, and accessibility.
The identity had to strike a balance between familiarity and independence. PsySpaces needed to align with WG Psychology’s established visual language while introducing new design elements to signal a separate, service-focused venture. Naming clarity and market recognition were also key, since this was a brand-new business entering the market.

The Craft: Strategy and Execution

We developed three distinct logo directions, each inspired by WG Psychology’s recognizable wave motif:

Concept 1 – Therapy Chair: A single chair design incorporating a subtle “W” wave, nodding to WG Psychology’s identity while symbolizing comfort and calm.

Concept 2 – Wave as Structure: A wave forming a rooftop, symbolizing accessibility and community.

Concept 3 – Community: Interconnected hands forming a wave, reflecting unity and shared growth.

To complement the logos, we explored three color palettes. Options ranged from shoreline-inspired neutrals to urban contemporary tones, each balancing continuity with WG Psychology’s brand and fresh character for PsySpaces.

 

 

The Leap: Outcomes and Evolution

The final identity centered on Concept 1 with its wave-shaped therapy chair icon. This design captures a sense of comfort, professionalism, and trust while maintaining a subtle connection to WG Psychology’s brand.


The chosen color palette drew from shoreline tones: deep navy, soft seafoam green, and warm sand neutrals. This combination communicates calm and groundedness while introducing a fresher, more inviting voice for PsySpaces. Typography and variations were refined to create a flexible system that will scale easily across print and digital use.


The result is a modern, approachable brand identity that complements WG Psychology while standing confidently on its own as PsySpaces.

What’s Next

With the brand identity complete, the focus now shifts to designing the PsySpaces website. This single-page, mobile-first site will highlight the features of the rental offices, showcase professional photography, and make it simple for practitioners to book their space.
